  • Explain what math you used during your Lagunazo trip.
In the Lagunazo trip there were several ways in which I used math. Most of them were during the Amazing Race. There were several posts which were about math. For example, there was one post that had riddles and one riddle was that we had to add and subtract some numbers and convert them into Roman numerals and the result gave us a word, and the word was MIX; M=1000, I=1, and X=10. Another way that I used math was using a compass. On the second day, the guides gave us the coordinates of the posts, for example 240 degrees, and we had to guide ourselves with the compass. While doing the Race, one group started 10 or 15 minutes before the other, so when we had to start first, we had to hurry up, so that the other group did not catch up with us; we had to calculate the time that the other team started and where we were to avoid them catching up with us.
